Derby changes you and as Hatchet moves through her life she has changed and left marks behind, some small and blue, others painful and raw. In return, life - and derby – has left marks on her. Most of the time, those marks - on her body and in her heart - are beautiful but more often than not, they have hurt Hatchet in more ways than one. She has however, worked tirelessly to limit the hurt. Sticking to a gruelling training schedule and bossing people around at bouts, Hatchet has found the balance between derby obsession and the need for organisation and harmony. Hatchet strives to find the derby nexus. With support form the Black’n’Blue Belles she will achieve this goal when they reclaim the Darby Derby Trophy at the end of 2012. Paradise awaits.
