CRDL to help launch Kmart Belconnen’s Wishing Tree appeal

As Australia’s largest Christmas gift appeal the Kmart Wishing Tree has collected more than 5 million gifts over the past 24 years, and this year aims to raise over 500,000 gifts for Australians in need.Wishing tree Canberra Roller Derby League skaters will help launch Kmart Belconnen’s Wishing Tree on the 15th of November at 11am.

Now an Australian Christmas tradition, the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal is heavily relied upon by The Salvation Army to provide support to families in need at Christmas. You can select a tag from the Wishing Tree to attach to your gift to specify the gender and age of a suitable recipient or make a cash contribution at any Kmart store register. The appeal will run until Christmas Eve so next time you’re out and about Christmas shopping, head to your local Kmart to donate.
