Community service partnerships

The Canberra Roller Derby League prides itself on being involved in the local community through volunteering at events, fundraising, flyering and promoting your organisation at one of our bouts. There are no hidden fees associated with our community service partnerships; we love to create long-lasting relationships with like-minded organisations. So, if you are a Canberra based not-for-profit organisation that shares the same values as CRDL please let us know.

In June 2014, CRDL went red for the Heart Foundation's Go Red for Women campaign. We changed all our team logos to red to raise the profile of this cause, shared information about, and fundraising opportinities for, heart disease, and invited the Happy Heart to our first double header.

In April 2014, CRDL raised nearly $3,400 for the Leukaemia Foundation when Freudian Slit and Sue R Rat participated in the World's Greatest Shave.

Canberra Roller Derby Blood Drive, 2013

In April 2013, members of CRDL proudly rolled up their sleeves to join the Red Cross challenge to save lives by donating blood and plasma.

Proudly supporting Love2Read and the Reading Hour in the ACT for 2013.

Love2Read is a collaborative project joining public libraries, government, community groups, media and commercial partners, and of course the public. As well as running The Reading Hour each August, they will be using our joint efforts to bring together and showcase the wonderful projects and organisations across Australia which already exist to promote reading and literacy. So although they have a small team helping to drive forward the national Love2Read campaigns, behind them lies a family of many organisations.
